Who are we?
The Center for the Humanities and the Public Sphere is a dynamic hub within the College of Liberal Arts and Sciences dedicated to advancing interdisciplinary collaboration, scholarship and community engagement through the humanities. Through specialized programs, events, funding opportunities and partnerships, we aim to explore fundamental questions of human existence, inspire civic and moral responsibility, foster global and comparative understanding, and illuminate the role of the humanities in addressing contemporary challenges. CHPS celebrates the boundless curiosity that defines what it means to be human.
